OLSBY
Olsby has a wide range of facilities; in addition to a large kitchen and 3 dining roms able to serve approximately 90 people there is has an assembly room that can hold up to 120 people. There is also a chapel that for the Christian Community's services which can only be used for this purpose. There are two fully equipped houses with kitchens, bathrooms/wc and bedrooms, which can be used by families and smaller groups. There is also a separate section with three bedrooms with 2 balconies, a bathroom and wc, but without an integrated kitchen. All of this accommodation is insulated and has electric heating. In addition Olsby has beds in a number of insulated and heated cabins and bedrooms, with a total capacity of 45 people. Capacity is greater in summer, as Olsby has in addition several non-insulated cabins. In winter, the accomodation can be enlarged by using matresses and camp beds.

As there are no people employed at Olsby the use of the place is based on a "self-service" principle as regards cooking, washing and shopping etc. Olsby is situated approximately 4 miles from Tangen village where the nearest shop is situated. Therefore it is essential to have at least one private car.

At present the Christian Community uses Olsby at the following times: In summer (from 20th of July to the 10th of August) and approximately two weeks each spring and two weeks each autumn. It is therfore fully possible to rent Olsby during the remaining periods. Families or single persons, school camps, seminars etc can all rent a house or some of the buildings for holidays or recreation. First priority is given to people and institutions that are connected to the Christian Community and to Anthroposophical impulses.
