THE AREA AROUND
Olsby lies in Stange, Hedmarken. The farm is situated in a separate and peaceful location surrounded by forest, with many species of animals and birds. Mjøsa, Norway's largest lake, is a fifteen minutes walk away, where there is possibilities for bathing and fishing. The area on the other side of the lake has an astounding view and possibilities for mountain climbing, mining expeditions and exciting geological observations.

The road leading up to Olsby is private and serves only one other house, so there is no through traffic. From Olsby theres a beautiful view over Mjøsa and the Skrei mountain on the other side. The silence and the beauty of the landscape is very impressive.

Approximately 4 miles from Olsby is Tangen where there is a grocery store / post office and a railway station. Most trains with the exception of the Oslo-Trondheim express trains stop here . The closest town is Stange, ca 15 km and the closest city is Hamar, ca 27 km. Olsby lies approxamately 110 km north of Oslo, which usually takes about 1,5 hour using car or train.

During the winter season there are many possibilities for skiing, both cross-country and down-hill. (Budor ca 45 km, Trysil ca 87 km). Vangsåsen (ca 42 km) offers a very nice skiing area in the months november to april.

1. Leave E6 towards Tangen.
2. Drive through Tangen on Road 222 towards Stange.
3. Left turn: Sign "Ekeberg" (Olsby).
4. Left turn: Sign "Olsby".
5. Left turn: Sign "Olsby".
